Professional Credentials 

Deb Long is an Assistant Vice President and Contingency Planning Manager for Wilmington Trust Company. She is responsible for the development and implementation of their enterprise-wide Business Resumption Plan. 

 

In 1996 she managed the recovery efforts of a fire that destroyed their Hockessin Branch. As recent as June 10, 2000, Deb assisted Diver Chevrolet during their fire which destroyed the parts and service department of the dealership. 

 

Prior to Wilmington Trust, she worked at Delaware Trust Company/Meridian/CoreStates primarily in the Data Processing and Contingency Planning fields for 23 years. While at Meridian, she assisted with the 1991, One Meridian Plaza Fire. 

 

Deb is a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She also works in conjunction with the Delaware Emergency Management Association. 

 

In 1996 Deb was responsible for starting a local group called WilNet. This is an informal networking discussion group of Contingency Planners building relationships within the Contingency Planning industry in Wilmington, Delaware.
