Professional Credentials:

Patricia (“Pat”) Bennett brings to the management table more than 12 years specializing in Corporate Business Continuity Planning with an additional 17 years of Information Technology experience.  Her breadth of real-life experience is one few consultants can claim. Pat’s credentials include the management of one of the most extensive business recovery operations in US corporate history.  She is a noted authority and an accomplished speaker on Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.  Pat is one the first people in the country to be designated a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI), an international certification agency for contingency planners.

As of January 1998, Pat was made President of Delaware Valley Business Resumption Information Exchange Group, a non-profit business continuity educational group. From 1994 to 1998, Pat served on the Advisory Board of Survive! USA: The Business Continuity Group. 

In 1996, Pat established her own consulting practice.  The Patricia Bennett Group, Inc. is available to assist companies with business impact analysis, business continuity planning / management, crisis / event management, recovery plan evaluation / exercising, business continuity education, and in other key management and technical areas. We have experience in financial, manufacturing and health care industries.

Unmatched Experience:

In May 1989, a devastating fire struck the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company’s office tower in downtown Philadelphia.  The fire burned for days, requiring millions of gallons of water to extinguish it. The conflagration and subsequent water damage left Penn Mutual unable to operate from its home site for nearly a year and a half.  Throughout this ordeal, Pat actively helped lead one of the most successful, extensive and complex corporate recovery operations ever.

Pat’s real-life experience involves facets of the disaster recovery process most Business Continuity professionals only encounter in theory.  

A Noted Authority:

Over the years, Pat has become a noted expert on the topics of disaster recovery and business survival challenges.  She has appeared on CNBC’s “Technology Edge” show and her advice to businesses has appeared in publications such as Information Week, Computerworld, American West Magazine, Communications Week, and Beyond Computing, to name a few.  She is a widely sought guest speaker and has addressed a diverse group of business management and trade organizations.  Some of her appearances include ComNet, Survive!, the Society for Computer Information Protection, the New York Contingency Planning Exchange, and the Society for Quality and Productivity Management.

Pat’s experience and expertise crosses multiple industries, business and technical areas. She has extensive crisis management experience as spokesperson and media liaison for corporate and IS management.
